As Barometer’s Sales Director you will be a driving force behind Barometer’s growth with leading brands and agencies. This role reports directly to the Head of Sales.
This high-impact individual contributor will own the full sales cycle. From strategic prospecting to building and managing your own pipeline of a continuously growing portfolio of advertising clients. This crucial role must be comfortable with relationship building, from outreach to cultivation to close.
Along with a Hunter-mentality, you must have an exceptional track record for exceeding sales targets, managing client relationships, in ad-tech, audio or digital advertising sales. This Sales Director role is ideal for a self-starter with existing relationships at brands and agencies across the US (global relationships a plus), strong penetration within key markets, excellent interpersonal written and oral skills. You understand how to navigate account teams within holding companies, quickly find decision makers and be able to clearly communicate the value of the product. Responsibilities include:
- Own the entire sales process from outreach, presentation, negotiation, development, close to ongoing relationship
- Identify, qualify and nurture high-potential leads to build a strong pipeline
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at all levels, both at client and agency
- Proactively identify key prospects and follow up with current list of prospects
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional internal departments including Account Management, Finance and Technology
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting through company’s CRM in order to manage prospects, client accounts, pipeline and individual quarterly forecast
Qualifications include:
- 3+ Years in digital, programmatic, audio or verification advertising sales (audio a plus but not necessary)
- Demonstrable track record for strategic, consultative selling
- Strong active client and agency relationships/contacts at all levels
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business
- Excellent communication, time management and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, strong team player
- Deep understanding of digital media landscape
- Ability to work in a dynamic and growth oriented sector
