About the Role

• We are looking for a talented developer who thrives at the intersection of AI-powered development and messaging app innovation. This role is ideal for someone who can move quickly, leverage modern AI coding tools, and bring new applications to life on platforms where billions of users already spend their time — like iMessage and WhatsApp.
• You will be responsible for building, integrating, and scaling apps that seamlessly connect AI-driven workflows with messaging ecosystems, while also completing integrations across various third-party platforms using MCP
• and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain iMessage and WhatsApp applications, from backend logic to frontend experience.
• Utilize AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Replit, Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT) to accelerate product development and iteration.
• Lead and implement MCP integrations with third-party services and APIs.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to ship features quickly and efficiently.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with strong documentation.
• Monitor app performance and implement improvements for speed, reliability, and security.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest in AI development tools, messaging APIs, and integration frameworks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience (or equivalent projects demonstrating strong skills).
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js) and at least one mobile framework (Swift, React Native, or Flutter).
• Experience working with messaging APIs (WhatsApp Business API, Apple Messages for Business, Twilio, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and comfort integrating LLM-powered features.
• Strong background in RESTful and GraphQL API integrations, with proven success in completing end-to-end integrations.
• Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and ability to implement custom integrations.
• Knowledge of cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or similar) and basic DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with AI agent frameworks (LangChain, AutoGPT, etc.).
• Previous work building products at the intersection of AI and messaging apps.
• Startup experience or comfort working in lean, rapidly changing environments.
• Understanding of data security and compliance requirements for messaging apps.
