We’re growing very fast and currently live in Nigeria & Kenya. We are backed by popular investors like YCombinator, Ingressive capital, Niche Capital and others.

Grey is a fully remote company - currently with staff in Nigeria, Egypt, Rwanda, Germany & Canada.

We’re looking for a visual expert to join the Grey team, to refine and push our brand forward. This is a unique opportunity for a creative designer with expertise across brand, marketing, advertising, and web design to own the direction of Grey’s unique visual identity and bring it to life.

You’ll participate in the strategy and development of creative concepts delivered through all marketing touchpoints and formats, from digital to print - including our evolving website, display ads, landing pages, and all visual aspects of our brand. This role is fully remote.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale and amplify the Grey brand in new ways across campaigns, our website and digital channels
  • Design for a wide range of projects including web, email, social, and performance marketing to create a consistent narrative across all marketing touch points
  • Use data and motion to generate new creative solutions for landing pages, paid digital and brand campaigns
  • Bring multiple creative and innovative concepts to market Grey across campaigns and channels
  • Help us connect with our global audience through the localisation of both visual and copy assets across platforms
  • Partner with our global marketing team, brand, engineering partners, and copywriters to deliver designs that are creative, useful, and align with technical and brand standards

What you should have:

  • 3+ years of related brand design experience - agency, studio, freelance - working on visual identity with strong attention to detail
  • 3+ years of marketing design experience - knowledgeable on best practices for website design, landing pages, and Ads
  • A command of visual and communication design principles including typography, iconography, and grid systems with experience applying this knowledge to both digital and physical experiences
  • You have a strong creative and conceptual vision that allows you to continually identify new ideas and expressions of the brand narrative
  • Ability to communicate design concepts through sketches, high-fidelity comps, and/or prototypes
  • You have the communication skills to help oversee projects from brainstorming initial design concepts to execution
  • Enthusiasm for an iterative design process, inspired by and receptive to feedback, yet can defend your opinions.
  • You have a bias towards action, execution, and efficiency balanced with maintaining high-quality output.
  • Highly skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma
  • You have an excellent portfolio showcasing visual and graphic design work across a variety of platforms

Nice to have:

  • Proficient in After Effects and other software for creating motion graphics and prototypes
