We are seeking a Screening Analyst with a strong understanding of sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening processes to join our Compliance team. The role covers both name screening (for customers, counterparties, and businesses) and transaction screening (for inbound and outbound payments). You will play a vital role in ensuring that all screening activities are accurate, timely, and compliant with global AML and sanctions obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

Name Screening

  • Perform customer, business, and beneficial owner name screening against Sanctions, PEP, and Adverse Media lists using systems such as ComplyAdvantage, Refinitiv, or Dow Jones.
  • Review screening alerts to identify potential matches and determine whether they are true or false positives.
  • Escalate confirmed or complex matches to the Sanctions Officer or MLRO for further review.
  • Conduct periodic rescreening of existing customers and counterparties to capture changes in risk exposure.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of screening results and decisions in accordance with internal policy and audit requirements.

Transaction Screening

  • Review real-time and post-transaction screening alerts for inbound and outbound payments across all currencies and payment rails (SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments, USDC, etc.).
  • Assess potential sanctions, watchlist, or jurisdictional matches and escalate as needed.
  • Investigate blocked or rejected payments and coordinate with internal teams and counterparties for resolution.
  • Monitor and report on sanctions-related typologies, trends, and evolving risks.
  • Support periodic calibration of screening rules, thresholds, and data quality improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in AML, Sanctions, or Screening operations within a fintech, payments, or banking environment.
  • Working knowledge of name and transaction screening systems (e.g., ComplyAdvantage, Fircosoft, Bridger, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of OFAC, UK HMT, UN, and EU sanctions regimes.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to differentiate true hits from false positives.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or related discipline.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience handling both individual and corporate screening workflows.
  • Exposure to virtual assets or cross-border payments screening.
  • Familiarity with high-risk jurisdictions, ownership structures, and sanctions circumvention methods.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CAMS, ICA Sanctions Compliance, or ACAMS Sanctions Specialist) preferred.

Key Competencies

  • High integrity and professional judgment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced fintech environment.
  • Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information.
