About This Role

We’re looking for a Senior Director to join Jubilee’s love & dating channel, Nectar. Someone who can lead the development and execution of our original content slate from ideation through delivery. This is a role for a highly organized, self-directed creative who thrives on turning ideas into reality with discipline, clarity, and follow-through. You’ll oversee creative development, manage multiple productions, and set the tone for professionalism, collaboration, and creative excellence across the team in office and on set.

What You’ll Do:

Creative Development & Strategy

• Assist in ideation for both existing and new series, across small- and large-scale productions (e.g., VS 1, Swipe or Swap, etc.).
• Constantly ideate new episode ideas and creative concepts to contribute to seasonal programming.
• Contribute to overall channel and content strategy, ensuring ideas ladder up to Nectar’s creative vision.
• Assist CD in reviewing and sourcing creative pitches for new series and new episode ideas
• Use audience data and performance insights to inform creative direction and strengthen pitches.
• Collaborate on the creation of show bibles, development decks, and treatments.

Talent & Casting Collaboration

• Research and identify ideal talent to feature across series, working closely with the Casting team to execute opportunities.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Casting team to check on talent status, outreach progress, and opportunities.
• Proactively pitch and pass along new talent ideas aligned with show needs and brand identity.

Production Leadership

• Oversee larger-scale productions from development through post-production.
• Work closely with the Production and Casting teams to maintain a consistent, organized, and efficient workflow.
• Ensure pre-production planning is thorough and timelines are met.
• Manage shoots with confidence and professionalism, representing the Nectar brand with respect and authority on set.
• Uphold best practices for time and budget management on every project.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

• Support the Associate Creative Director in onboarding and managing freelance directors by sharing show context, resources, and creative guidance.
• Foster open communication across creative, production, and post teams to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Model a positive, respectful, and proactive communication style that builds trust across the team.

Operational Excellence

• Take initiative to identify solutions before problems arise.
• Communicate proactively, especially regarding deadlines, attendance, or potential delays.
• Maintain structure and consistency in daily workflows to keep multiple projects on track.

Who You Are:

• 5+ years working in business development, revenue generation, or a related role, preferably in the media or content industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships.

Work Model

At Jubilee, we follow a hybrid work model — We’re in the El Segundo office 3 days a week and remote for 2. So, you’ll need to be local or ready to make the move!
