We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual for a position that will assist in the Fermentation department at our Augusta BioFacility.
The GMP Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the manufacturing plant. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing work areas, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a manufacturing environment. This person will be expected to play an integral part of Manus' team located in Augusta, GA.

Responsibilities:
Facility Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of production areas, offices, break rooms, and restrooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors, surfaces, and high-touch areas.
- Remove trash and dispose of waste materials properly, following company and environmental regulations.
Sanitization & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, and company sanitation policies.
- Properly use and handle cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain a log of cleaning activities and report any sanitation concerns to management.
Equipment & Supplies Management:
- Replenish janitorial supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning products.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuums.
- Report any facility maintenance issues, such as leaks, spills, or damaged equipment.
Safety & Hazard Prevention:
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Identify and address spills, leaks, or other hazards to prevent accidents.
- Assist in emergency cleanups as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in janitorial, custodial, or sanitation work (manufacturing or industrial setting preferred).
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to lift, push, and stand for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including occasional exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. on a regular basis is required.
